Role Overview
The Lead – Diamonds Category is the brand’s foremost authority on high‑value diamond jewellery. This role stewards the creative, technical, and strategic direction of the Diamonds portfolio, ensuring every piece meets the highest standards of craftsmanship, innovation, and luxury. The role requires deep expertise in diamond quality, cutting techniques, craftsmanship methods, historical and emerging design trends, and the global diamond landscape.
Operating at the intersection of design, product creation, and market insight, the role partners with design studios, master craftsmen, ateliers, and sourcing teams to shape iconic, future‑defining collections for the brand.
Key Responsibilities
1. Craftsmanship, Product Expertise & Design Direction
• Serve as the technical and creative authority for all diamond‑led High Jewellery.
• Evaluate designs for diamond suitability, structural feasibility, craftsmanship complexity, and overall luxury expression.
• Ensure each piece aligns with the highest standards of cutting techniques, setting methods, stone architecture, and finishing excellence.
• Guide designers on Business imperatives to drive commercial success and brand aspiration
• Assess global and regional design trends, consumer aesthetics, and collector preferences.
2. Collection Development & Design Collaboration
• Co‑lead collection development with the Design team.
• Participate in critical design gates including concept reviews, design pruning, prototype evaluation, and final approvals.
• Ensure integration of innovative diamond cuts, contemporary techniques, and timeless craftsmanship.
• Identify opportunities for signature diamond pieces.
3. Exhibitions, Red‑Carpet & Market Showcases
• Curate diamond‑led assortments for showcases.
• Select statement pieces based on client profiles and regional tastes.
• Partner with VM, Marketing and Retail team for on ground deployment
4. Market Intelligence & Trend Leadership
• Maintain deep understanding of global diamond market trends, innovations, craftsmanship styles, and industry benchmarks.
• Translate insights into future collection strategies.
• Act as internal thought leader for diamonds and High Jewellery craftsmanship.
5. Commercial Inputs
• Provide strategic input on category performance and portfolio health.
• Support capital decisions for key diamond investments.

• Deep command of diamond quality, cuts, fancy shapes/colours, and craftsmanship techniques.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Luxury, Design, Business, or related field.
• Advanced luxury qualification preferred.
Experience
• 8–15 years in High Jewellery or luxury diamond category roles.
• Experience in diamond selection, product creation, and craftsmanship evaluation.
• Exposure to luxury exhibitions or private client events.
