**Job Summary:**
The Food Technologist will be responsible for the development and improvement of food products, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and taste. This role will involve conducting research, testing, and sensory evaluation, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products to market.
**Responsibilities:**
* Conduct research on new food ingredients, processing techniques, and packaging materials.
* Develop and reformulate food products to meet specified requirements and consumer preferences.
* Design and execute experimental trials and pilot-scale production runs.
* Perform sensory evaluation of new and existing products.
* Troubleshoot product and process issues.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality standards.
* Collaborate with marketing, production, and quality control teams.
* Prepare technical reports and documentation.
* Keep up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
* 1-2 years of experience in food product development or a related area (Freshers are also welcome).
* Strong understanding of food chemistry, microbiology, and processing principles.
* Experience in sensory evaluation techniques.
* Familiarity with food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP).
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
**Preferred Skills:**
* Experience with specific food categories (e.g., beverages, bakery, snacks).
* Knowledge of food packaging materials and technologies.
* Experience with quality control and quality assurance procedures.
* Proficiency in statistical analysis software.
