Assistant Manager – Payments & MIS

Role Overview:
1. Responsible for managing vendor payments, reconciliations, reporting, and finance coordination.
2. Ensures smooth financial operations through accuracy, ownership, and strong stakeholder coordination with vendors, internal teams, and finance partners.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage end-to-end vendor payments and execute the biweekly payment cycle efficiently.
2. Maintain accurate payment trackers (due, processed, and pending status).
3. Maintain and update vendor database, including GST, bank details, contracts, and commercial terms.
4. Coordinate with vendors and the external finance agency for invoices, queries, reconciliations, and documentation.
5. Perform GST reconciliations and support compliance-related data requirements.
6. Prepare and circulate outstanding reports for receivables and payables to management.
7. Coordinate with Sales and Operations teams for billing closures and payment dependencies.
8. Create Proforma Invoices (PIs) as per business requirements.
9. Prepare monthly MIS reports covering revenue, P&L, payouts, margins, and key business metrics.
10. Identify process gaps and improve financial controls and discipline.

Other requirements
Experience:
1. 2–3 years of experience in Payments, Accounts Payable/Receivable, MIS, Finance Operations, or similar roles.
2. Prior experience in startups, hospitality, events, or high-volume transaction environments preferred.
Skills:
1. Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (lookups, pivots, trackers, reconciliations).
2. Good understanding of invoices, GST, vendor payments, and basic accounting processes.
3. High attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
5. Ability to manage deadlines and multiple priorities.
6. Structured thinking with a strong ownership mindset.
