Accounts Assistant – Remote Full Time NEW

This role is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys hands‑on work, accurate bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and improving finance processes. The position supports AP/AR, management reporting, cost tracking, and Excel‑based analysis, with exposure to international operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) (invoice processing, receipts, vendor payments, client reconciliations)
• Perform bank reconciliations, credit card reconciliations, and support monthly closing
• Assist with project costing, budget tracking, cash flow monitoring, and cost allocation
• Support preparation of management accounts, MIS, and financial reporting for India & UK teams
• Prepare basic financial models, analysis, and variance reports
• Maintain templates, trackers, finance dashboards, and documentation
• Use Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas) and digital tools to improve accuracy & efficiency
• Work with Xero accounting software for bookkeeping, reconciliations, and reporting
• Use AI-assisted tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, automation tools) where helpful for efficiency

Must-Have Skills

Skills & Requirements

• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end accounting processes
• Excellent hands‑on skills in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, Pivot Tables, complex formulas)
• Clear written and spoken English communication
• Experience with Xero (mandatory or highly preferred)
• Ability to maintain accuracy, deadlines, and financial discipline

Preferred Skills

• Experience in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL)
• Exposure to financial operations, budgeting, cash flow, and management reporting
• Knowledge of audit preparation, compliance documentation, and reconciliations
• Comfortable using AI tools, automation platforms, and digital workflows

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in accounting or finance
• B.Com / M.Com / MBA Finance / CA‑Inter preferred
• Experience with Xero is a strong advantage
