The Role

We are hiring a Field Project Manager to lead end-to-end execution of a large rural drinking water project across 12 districts of Karnataka involving electrochlorination-based disinfection systems with installation, commissioning and long-term Operation & Maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Own multi-site field execution across 12 districts — survey, site readiness, installation and commissioning.

• Lead Government / ZP / Gram Panchayat / customer liaison across all 12 districts for including, but not limited approval of work, document acceptance and payments.

• Receive Electrochlorination systems and allied equipment dispatched from our central facility, carry out inward inspection, record findings, and dispatch to project sites. Plan erection of prefabricated rooms on sites for housing the systems.

• Drive site-wise installation and commissioning per customer specifications, with geo-tagged photos and signed annexures at every stage.

• Maintain district-wise execution trackers and a consolidated Master Tracker; submit weekly progress and monthly MIS to the General Manager – Projects.

• Manage field teams (Project Engineers, Site Supervisors, Field Technicians, Operation & Maintenance personnel) and installation contractors.

• Lead the long-term O&M phase post commissioning.

Note: Procurement and manufacturing are managed centrally from the Nagpur office and are not within this role’s scope.

Eligibility

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (mandatory).

• 15–20 years of total experience in project management within Water, Wastewater, Public Health Engineering, Rural Infrastructure or allied EPC sectors.

• Demonstrated experience executing at least one large multi-site rural project.

• Government / PSU client experience strongly preferred.

• Hands-on familiarity with chlorination / disinfection / water treatment systems is a significant advantage.

Skills & Languages

• Strong working knowledge of water supply systems, OHTs, distribution networks and disinfection technologies.

• Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project / Primavera.

• English – Mandatory; Kannada – Strongly preferred; Hindi – Working knowledge desirable.

• Willingness to travel extensively (~60–70%) across all 12 project districts.
