Role Description

• Handle end-to-end procurement of construction materials such as cement, steel, aggregates, finishing materials, MEP items, etc.
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors and suppliers; maintain a strong vendor database.
• Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, and finalize purchase orders based on project requirements.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Coordinate with site teams, project managers, and store departments for material planning and delivery schedules.
• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to avoid project delays.
• Monitor material consumption, inventory levels, and coordinate with stores for stock availability.
• Ensure quality standards of procured materials and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
• Maintain proper documentation of purchase records, invoices, and contracts.
• Support cost control initiatives and identify opportunities for savings and value engineering.
• Coordinate with accounts team for invoice verification and payment processing.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of construction materials and procurement processes
• Experience in vendor negotiation and cost analysis
• Proficiency in MS Excel (rate comparison, cost sheets)
• Familiarity with ERP / procurement software
• Understanding of billing, inventory, and supply chain processes
