Role Overview
The Music Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing campaigns that drive artist discovery, fan engagement, and revenue growth. This role sits at the intersection of creative storytelling and data-driven strategy, requiring a deep understanding of the digital landscape, streaming ecosystems, and community building.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy: Design and manage comprehensive 360° marketing plans for single, EP, and album releases, ensuring a cohesive narrative across all platforms.
Digital Advertising: Oversee performance marketing budgets, specifically managing Meta Ads (Instagram/Facebook), Google Ads, and TikTok Spark Ads to drive streaming conversions and social growth.
Streaming & Playlist Strategy: Build and maintain relationships with DSP (Digital Service Provider) editorial teams and independent curators to secure high-value playlist placements and on-platform visibility.
Content Coordination: Collaborate with creative teams to oversee the production of short-form video content, press assets, and visual identity for artists.
Data Analysis: Monitor real-time analytics from Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, and social platforms to optimize active campaigns and report ROI to stakeholders.
Fan Engagement: Develop “sticky” fan experiences, including pre-save campaigns, Discord community management, and interactive social media activations.
Required Qualifications
* Experience: 3–5 years of experience in music marketing, digital advertising, or artist management.
* Technical Proficiency: Deep knowledge of Business Manager/Ads Manager, short-form video trends, and music distribution workflows.
* Communication: Exceptional copywriting skills for social media, press releases, and internal pitching.
* Network: An existing network of influencers, music bloggers, and playlist curators is highly preferred.
* Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and pivot strategies based on viral trends or algorithm changes.

* Experience with CRM and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Laylo).
* Understanding of music publishing, licensing, and royalty structures.
