Designation: Deputy Manager – Demand Planning

Reporting to: General Manager – Procurement

Key responsibilities:

• He/she is responsible for ensuring optimal stock availability across physical stores by driving accurate demand planning, inventory control, and replenishment processes.

• Build and maintain SKU-level demand forecasts for offline channels using historical sales, seasonality, promotions, and local market inputs.

• Plan and monitor store-wise inventory levels to achieve target fill rates, on-shelf availability, and working capital norms.

• Design and manage replenishment logic (min–max, safety stock, reorder points) for each store/category in coordination with central supply planning and procurement.

• Run daily/weekly availability checks, track stock-outs, near-outs, and overstock, and drive corrective actions with stores and warehouses.

• Monitor key KPIs: forecast accuracy/bias, availability %, fill rate, inventory turns, DOH, shrinkage, and stock loss; publish regular dashboards and MIS.

• Partner with IT/Analytics teams to enhance demand planning and inventory tools, including store-level ordering systems and reporting.

Must haves:

5–8 years in pharma demand planning, inventory control, retail-pharma planning; FMCG/healthcare background is a plus

Graduate in BTech/BE, Pharmacy, Science, Commerce, or Supply Chain; MBA/PGDM in Operations/Supply Chain preferred

Good to have:

• Strong analytical and Excel skills; knowledge of forecasting tools, ERP/SCM systems (e.g., SAP).

• Cross-functional communication with sales, catalogue, marketing, operations, and logistics teams.
