Job Description

We are looking for an experienced CICS Admin/ System Programmer with strong hands-on expertise in CICS system programming on IBM z/OS environments. The role requires deep technical knowledge of CICS internals, configuration, installation, maintenance, and performance tuning. This is not an operations or monitoring role.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, customize, and upgrade IBM CICS Transaction Server on z/OS
• Perform CICS region setup and management, including AOR/FOR/TOR configurations
• Define and manage CICS resources using RDO / CSD / DFHCSDUP
• Administer and support CICSPlex SM environments
• Handle CICS-related SMP/E maintenance, PTFs, and version upgrades
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning for CICS regions
• Diagnose and resolve CICS system-level issues, abends, dumps, and performance problems
• Work closely with z/OS system programmers, application teams, and middleware teams
• Ensure high availability, stability, and compliance of CICS environments
• Participate in on-call support for critical CICS incidents

Mandatory Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in CICS System Programming
• In-depth knowledge of IBM z/OS
• Experience with CICSPlex SM
• Expertise in RDO / CSD / DFHCSDUP
• Solid understanding of CICS architecture and internals
• Experience with SMP/E for CICS maintenance
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Nice to Have

• Exposure to IMS / DB2 integration with CICS
• Experience in high-volume transaction processing environments
• Knowledge of automation and monitoring tools for CICS
