Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and proactive Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team. This role will provide hands-on technical support for end users, focusing on Windows-based systems and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-focused mindset, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide on-site and remote technical support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and related software
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within Windows environments
- Assist with system updates, patches, and basic security practices
- Support IT asset management, including setup and deployment of new devices
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical issues and improve processes
- Document support activities, solutions, and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Basic technical knowledge of desktop support and IT systems
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows operating systems
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Windows System Administration
- Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Prior experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
