Job Title: Sr. Staff US Accountant

Location: Hyderabad

Experience Required: 2–4 years

Shift: 2pm to 11am or 6pm to 3am

Salary: 5 to 8 LPA

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Staff US Accountant to manage the end-to-end accounting processes for our US clients. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of US GAAP, excellent analytical skills, and hands-on experience in month-end close, reporting, and reconciliations. This role requires strong communication and client-facing abilities to effectively support stakeholders across geographies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle end-to-end accounting for US-based entities/clients, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and trial balance finalization.
• Perform month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals, prepayments, and fixed asset accounting.
• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.
• Conduct variance analysis and prepare flux reports.
• Manage reconciliations of bank accounts, credit cards, intercompany balances, and other key accounts.
• Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure ledger accuracy.
• Process Accounts Payable by entering vendor bills, tracking due dates, and preparing payment batches.
• Handle Accounts Receivable functions, including creating invoices and following up on outstanding payments.
• Assist with audit preparations and provide necessary schedules and documentation to auditors.
• Maintain documentation for internal controls and support SOX compliance (if applicable).
• Communicate directly with US-based clients/stakeholders and respond to queries promptly.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, AR/AP, and Payroll.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA Inter, or MBA (Finance) preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in US accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in accounting software like QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar.
• Advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with US clients or in a US-based accounting role is mandatory.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in working with outsourced accounting firms.
• Familiarity with tax support documents, sales tax compliance, or payroll accounting.
• Exposure to automation tools or process improvements in accounting.
