Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain Associate to join our R&D-focused company. In this role, you will be responsible for managing procurement, inventory, and logistics to ensure the seamless fulfillment of the engineering team’s requirements. You will collaborate closely with vendors, track shipments and maintain optimal stock levels to support ongoing research and development projects. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge innovation through efficient supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the engineering team to understand and fulfill their material and equipment requirements.
• Research and learn simultaneously on the new materials.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to procure materials, tools, and equipment required for R&D activities.
• Understand the market trends in terms of material pricing for counter negotiations.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality assurance.
• Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels for engineering tools, materials, and consumables.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and ensure accurate record-keeping.
• Provide timely updates on order status and expected delivery timelines.
• Coordinate with transport providers for timely and secure delivery of equipment.
• Resolve any shipping delays or issues in a prompt manner.
• Maintain comprehensive records of purchase orders, invoices, delivery notes, and inventory levels.

Qualifications

• Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering will be preferred).
• Candidates with MBA in Supply Chain and Logistics Management will be an added advantage.
• Experience:
• 0–1 year of experience in relevant industry.
• 1-3 years of experience in supply chain and logistics management
• Internship experience in supply chain is an advantage.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and inventory management tools/software.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail for accurate tracking and reporting.

Preference will be given to individuals who possess practical hobby skills, hands-on technical interests, or personal projects related to engineering, innovation, and experimentation.

As this position is within Research & Development (R&D) Engineering, candidates should be comfortable working in a highly practical, testing-driven environment that requires analytical thinking and continuous experimentation.

Applicants must also have a strong foundational understanding of physics relevant to their area of expertise, whether in electronics, mechanical systems, fluid dynamics, or related engineering disciplines. A problem-solving mindset and the ability to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world testing and development are essential for this role.
