SAP WM consultant Full Time NEW

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior SAP WM Consultant with deep hands-on expertise in SAP MM and Warehouse Management (WM) and a strong track record of delivering end-to-end SAP implementations for global clients.

The consultant will play a key role in solution design, configuration, testing, cutover and go-live for SAP WM–driven warehouse processes, working closely with business stakeholders, technical teams, and global rollout teams. Exposure to SAP ECC, SAP RISE with S/4HANA, and S/4HANA environments will be considered a strong advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End Implementation Ownership

· Lead business requirement gathering, fit–gap analysis, and solution design workshops for global warehouse and supply chain processes.

• Design SAP WM solutions aligned to global templates / core models, ensuring scalability across regions and sites.
• Own end-to-end functional delivery across Realisation, Testing, Deployment, and Go-Live phases.

2. SAP WM Solution Design & Configuration

· Configure SAP WM enterprise structure:

o Warehouse number, storage types, storage sections, storage bins, picking areas, and interim storage types.

• Configure and optimise key WM processes:

o Inbound processing (GR-based putaway)

• Outbound processing (picking, staging, GI)
• Internal stock movements and replenishment
• Physical inventory and cycle counting
• Configure and fine-tune WM strategies:

o Putaway strategies

• Picking and stock removal strategies
• Transfer Requirements (TR) and Transfer Orders (TO)
• Ensure tight integration between IM-MM and WM for inventory accuracy and execution efficiency.

3. Integration & Cross-Module Collaboration

· Manage and validate integration points with:

o MM (Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management)

o SD / LE (Inbound & outbound deliveries, shipping execution)

o FI (inventory valuation and postings)

o PP / QM (where applicable)

• Prepare and review Functional Specifications (FS) for RICEFW objects and coordinate closely with ABAP and integration teams.

4. Testing, Cutover & Go-Live

· Plan and execute Unit Testing, SIT, and UAT, including defect management and resolution.

• Support data migration and cutover activities, including:

o Warehouse master data

• Initial and open inventory
• Open warehouse documents
• Contribute to cutover planning, mock runs, go-live readiness, and post go-live stabilisation.

5. Stakeholder & Team Leadership

· Act as the WM subject-matter expert in client discussions and internal governance forums.

• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior consultants and project team members.
• Ensure high-quality documentation, process adherence, and implementation best practices.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

· 12+ years of SAP experience with strong hands-on expertise in:

o SAP Warehouse Management (WM)

o SAP Materials Management (MM)

• Proven experience in multiple full-lifecycle SAP implementations, including global / multi-country rollouts.
• Strong configuration experience in:

o Warehouse structures, putaway & picking strategies, TR/TO lifecycle, physical inventory.

• Solid understanding of MM processes:

o Procurement, goods movements, inventory management, and master data.

• Experience in leading testing cycles, cutover activities, and go-live support.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in global project environments.

Additional Advantage / Good-to-Have

· Exposure to SAP ECC and transformation journeys to SAP S/4HANA.

• Experience working on or supporting SAP RISE with SAP programmes.
• Understanding of WM positioning in S/4HANA transformations (WM vs. EWM awareness).
• Experience with IDocs, interfaces, batch jobs, and integration troubleshooting.
• Exposure to RF scanning, 3PL integration, or external WMS integrations.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, IT, or a related discipline.

• SAP MM / WM certification is an added advantage.
