Role Description
1. Market Research & Trend Tracking: Monitor the tile industry’s popular colors (e.g., matte finish, continuous vein), specifications (e.g., large-format sintered stone, small-size antique tiles), and technological innovations (e.g., digital glaze, dry granular polishing). Align research outcomes with target markets to identify product opportunities.
2. New Product R&D & Implementation: Lead tile formula adjustment, color design, and process parameter setting (e.g., forming, firing, glazing). Collaborate with factories to resolve technical challenges during R&D; coordinate sample production and performance testing (e.g., wear resistance, water absorption, stain resistance) to ensure products comply with international and domestic standards.
II. Product Sourcing
1. Develop and evaluate finished tile suppliers; verify supplier qualifications (e.g., production capacity, quality management system, certification credentials). Establish a qualified supplier database and conduct regular performance assessments; maintain long-term cooperative relationships to enhance supply chain stability.
2. Formulate sourcing plans based on sales orders and inventory requirements. Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment methods (e.g., L/C/T/T), and quality guarantee clauses to sign procurement contracts with optimal cost-efficiency.
3. Collaborate with the quality control department to inspect incoming goods against standards; handle return, replacement, and claim procedures for non-conforming products. Monitor market price fluctuations and trade policy changes (e.g., tariff adjustments) to develop supply chain risk contingency plans. Maintain sourcing records and generate data analysis reports.
