Metro Global Solution Center (MGSC) is internal solution partner for METRO, a €31 Billion international wholesaler with operations in more than 30 countries. The store network comprises a total of 623 stores in 21 countries, of which 522 offer out-of-store delivery (OOS), and 94 dedicated depots. In 12 countries, METRO runs only the delivery business by its delivery companies (Food Service Distribution, FSD).
HoReCa and Traders are core customer groups of METRO. The HoReCa section includes hotels, restaurants, catering companies as well as bars, cafés and canteen operators. The Traders section includes small grocery stores and kiosks. The majority of all customer groups are small and medium-sized enterprises as well as sole traders. METRO helps them manage their business challenges more effectively.
MGSC, location wise is present in Pune (India), Düsseldorf (Germany) and Szczecin (Poland). We provide HR, Finance, IT & Business operations support to 31 countries, speak 24+ languages and process over 18,000 transactions a day. Job Description
This Talent Sourcing Specialist role will focus on the proactive sourcing of high quality professionals for key IT & Non – IT roles. In collaboration with the wider recruitment team, the role will support leveraging new channels in the market to identify, attract and assess critical talent for high growth business. In partnership with key stakeholders, this role will have ownership of the search strategy, proactive outreach and initial candidate assessment, ensuring the continued flow of high quality candidates through the process and the creation of a strong talent pipeline for future growth.
- Identifying high quality candidates to fill both IT and Non – IT roles.
- Partnering with internal hiring managers and recruiters to understand the role requirements, candidate profile and define the candidate identification strategy for each position.
- Sourcing active and passive candidates through direct channels, social media, internet sourcing, talent mapping and relationship building.
- Clearly articulating and sell the MGSC value proposition via candidate interaction, networking events, professional networks etc.
- Owning and managing the social media strategy to continually promote the MGSC brand
- Building talent pipelines to fill current and future roles through leveraging user groups, blogs and networking events.
- Generating candidate interest through creative marketing and social media messaging
- Providing an initial screen and high-level assessment of a candidate’s knowledge, skills and abilities and overall fit with the role.
- Actively tracking, managing and reporting on candidate pipelines through the applicant tracking system
- Schedule & coordinate technical interviews with the BU Panels/heads
- Should be able to handle weekend and weekday drives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in HR or similar required
- 1-3 years Recruiting, or Talent Acquisition experience required with proven success in utilizing a range of direct sourcing tools
- Strong research and candidate generation skills
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with current and emerging direct sourcing techniques
- Strong understanding of social media and how to effectively leverage the opportunities it presents for recruitment
- Ability to articulate and understand the specific role requirements
- Polished interview skills and telephone manner with behaviroual based interviewing experience
- The ability to problem solved and think creatively around strategies for identifying quality talent.
- Excellent English is required
