Head – On Air Promotions (OAP) | Bangla Cluster

Role Overview:

The OAP Head will lead the creative and strategic direction of on-air promotions for the Bangla channel/network at Sony Pictures Networks. The role involves conceptualizing impactful promo campaigns, driving audience engagement, ensuring strong channel branding, and collaborating closely with programming, marketing, creative, and scheduling teams to maximize viewership and tune-ins.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the overall OAP strategy for fiction, non-fiction, movies, specials, and network campaigns.
• Conceptualize and supervise high-impact promo campaigns aligned with channel objectives.
• Drive channel positioning, brand tonality, and viewer engagement through innovative storytelling.
• Work closely with Programming, Marketing, Creative, Digital, and Scheduling teams for integrated campaign execution.
• Manage promo planning calendars and ensure timely delivery of all on-air assets.
• Analyze ratings, audience insights, and campaign performance to optimize promo effectiveness.
• Oversee promo edits, scripting, voiceovers, packaging, and final creative output.
• Build and mentor a high-performing creative promotions team.
• Ensure consistency in brand identity across all on-air communication.
• Collaborate with external agencies, production houses, and freelancers when required.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• 15+ years of experience in OAP/Creative Promotions within television/media.
• Strong understanding of Bangla GEC audience and content landscape.
• Proven experience in leading creative teams and large-scale promo campaigns.
• Excellent storytelling, scripting, and creative visualization skills.
• Strong stakeholder management and execution capabilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Preferred Background:

Experience with leading broadcast/media organizations and strong exposure to entertainment content promotions.
