About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Analyst, IT Operations – Database to join our Hyderabad team. This critical role involves managing and maintaining our database systems to ensure optimal performance, security, and availability. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database administration, with hands-on experience in SQL Server, Oracle, and other database technologies. You will collaborate closely with development teams, project managers, and clients to understand their needs, implement solutions, and troubleshoot issues efficiently. Your expertise will contribute to the seamless operation of our data infrastructure, supporting our business objectives and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• SQL Server Certified Associate/Professional or Oracle Certified Administrator (such as Administrator Certified Associate/Professional)
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in database administration, specifically with SQL Server (2012-2019) and/or Oracle (11g, 12c, 19c)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
• Proven track record of managing databases in a production environment, with at least 5 years of relevant experience
• Strong understanding of database and operating system concepts, high availability configurations, and performance tuning
• Experience with database upgrades, patches, and performance optimization techniques
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure and AWS is a plus
• Knowledge of scripting languages like PowerShell and Unix shell scripting
• Experience with database monitoring tools and incident management processes
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server and Oracle databases to ensure high availability, security, and optimal performance
• Participate in client and project meetings for needs assessment, design review, and technical discussions
• Analyze user requirements and develop technical specifications for database systems, including access methods, security, and organizational structure
• Design, develop, and implement database solutions for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring scalability and robustness
• Create and enforce standards, models, and documentation to monitor and enhance database capacity and performance
• Develop data import/export routines and automation scripts to streamline data workflows
• Build and customize reports, dashboards, and user interfaces to facilitate data analysis and decision-making
• Apply regular patches, updates, and performance enhancements proactively to maintain system integrity
• Provide technical support during development activities, troubleshooting issues as they arise
• Adhere to ITIL best practices and continuously improve documentation and processes related to database management
• Track, resolve, and escalate database incidents and requests efficiently to minimize downtime
