Role: Executive – Reader Engagement & Brand Marketing

Job Location: Chennai

Key Responsibilities:

Reader Engagement Initiative

• Lead ideation and execution of reader engagement activities aligned with brand campaigns for The Hindu, businessline, Sportstar & Frontline
• Manage The Hindu Reader Connect social media platforms: Own the planning and execution of content, posting, and boosting strategies for engagement and conversion campaigns.
• Monitor and optimize campaign performance, while driving strategies to grow followers, improve reach, and enhance overall engagement across social media platforms.
• Manage other promotional channels including Print, Radio, Outdoor, B2B emailers, and targeted Email / SMS / WhatsApp campaigns to relevant databases.
• Managing contest mechanics, response tracking, and campaign closures – track performance metrics and prepare reports on engagement, reach, and conversions
• Assist in managing social media platforms for engagement-led campaigns and brand IPs

Brand Campaign Support

• Coordinate development of marketing collaterals across platforms including print, digital, social media, and emailers
• Work with internal teams and agencies for timely delivery and deployment of creatives
• Develop impactful PowerPoint presentations for brand marketing, campaign proposals, and internal reviews

Execution & Coordination

• Coordinate with internal teams (editorial, digital, sales, events) and external agencies for smooth rollout of campaigns
• Support execution of on-ground reader engagement activities and brand-led events
• Coordinate with vendors, partners, and internal stakeholders for brand-led event planning and execution

Skills Required:

• 5-6 years of experience in Marketing / Digital Marketing / Brand Marketing
• Strong coordination and project management skills
• Good understanding of digital platforms and marketing channels
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
• Basic analytical skills to track and interpret campaign performance
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint with the ability to create structured, visually compelling presentations
