Job Description – Director of Sales (Education Technology)

Role Overview:
We’re seeking a high-energy, driven Director of Sales – Higher Education to lead growth across the Western Region of North America. This role will focus on acquiring new customers and expanding relationships with existing ones, driving adoption of our SaaS portfolio. Reporting directly to the International VP Sales, you’ll be part of the senior leadership team, shaping strategy, coaching a talented sales force, and directly influencing the company’s growth trajectory.
Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership
Partner with executive leadership to identify new market opportunities, competitive risks, and innovative sales strategies.
Drive pipeline development and market penetration to achieve ambitious revenue goals.
Inspire and mentor Account Executives and SDRs to build strong pipelines and exceed targets.
• Operational Excellence
Establish KPIs to measure team effectiveness and pipeline conversion.
Collaborate on annual operating budgets and resource planning.
Oversee recruitment, training, and retention of sales talent.
Partner with Customer Success, Training, Product, Legal, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless customer experiences and cross-sell opportunities.
• Tactical Execution
Own and exceed annual sales targets.
Analyze sales metrics and CRM data to forecast performance.
Remove obstacles to accelerate deal closure.
Represent the company at conferences, trade shows, and higher education events.
Travel as needed to meet key stakeholders and close contracts.
