Role Description

The Annotator – Hyderabad Technology Centre provides support to data projects team and will have a keen eye for detail, basic understanding of computer vision concepts, and the ability to work with annotation tools to create high-quality datasets for training machine learning models.

Qualifications

• Graduate and have basic understanding of computer vision concepts.

• Prior experience in data annotation for AI/ML projects.

• Experience with image/video annotation tools (e.g., Roboflow, CVAT, Labelbox, Supervisely, VGG Image Annotator).

• Experience working with large-scale datasets.

• Familiarity with file formats like JPEG, PNG, MP4, and annotation formats like COCO, Pascal VOC, YOLO is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of virtual environments and navigating terminal is a plus.

• Knowledge of Python or scripting for automation of annotation tasks advantageous.

• Work closely with Data projects team to understand the needs for annotation work in the project

• Annotate images and videos using bounding boxes, polygons, key points, segmentation masks, question answering, textual image description, and other labelling techniques.

• Ensure accuracy and consistency in annotations according to project guidelines.

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to refine annotation standards and improve dataset quality.

• Review and correct annotations as needed based on feedback or quality audits.

• Communicate feedback to data science team regarding the current annotation process pain-points.

• Maintain documentation of annotation processes and contribute to continuous improvement.

• Meet daily/weekly annotation targets while maintaining high quality.
