Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented professional to manage international procurement activities for petrochemical and energy products from the Southeast Asia market. The role involves supplier sourcing, commercial negotiations, vendor management, import coordination, and end-to-end procurement operations for key commodities.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in international sourcing, import procurement, and commodity trading practices within the petrochemical, base oil, bitumen, or industrial chemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities
1. International Sourcing & Vendor Development

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers across Southeast Asia, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with refineries, traders, manufacturers, and distributors.
• Assess supplier credibility, pricing competitiveness, product quality, and supply capabilities.
• Develop reliable sourcing channels for long-term procurement requirements.

2. Procurement & Commercial Negotiation

• Handle RFQs, commercial discussions, price negotiations, and contract finalization.
• Ensure procurement at competitive pricing aligned with international market trends.
• Negotiate payment terms, delivery schedules, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
• Coordinate with management to achieve cost optimization and margin improvement.

3. Import & Logistics Coordination

• Manage the complete import procurement cycle from order placement to final delivery.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams for:
• Shipment planning
• Bill of Lading (BL)
• Invoice & Packing List
• Certificate of Analysis (COA)
• Customs clearance documentation
• Ensure compliance with import regulations, documentation standards, and shipment timelines.

4. Market Intelligence & Analysis

• Monitor global pricing trends for Base Oil, Bitumen, MTO, and petrochemical products.
• Track crude oil movements, regional demand-supply dynamics, and market developments.
• Share regular market updates, pricing insights, and sourcing opportunities with management.
• Analyze supplier trends and competitor sourcing strategies.

5. Internal Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Operations teams.
• Align procurement planning with sales forecasts and inventory requirements.
• Support smooth execution of supply schedules and operational planning.
• Assist in maintaining optimal stock levels and procurement efficiency.

6. Reporting & MIS

• Maintain procurement reports, supplier databases, pricing records, and sourcing documentation.
• Prepare regular MIS reports related to procurement activities and cost analysis.
• Track procurement efficiency, vendor performance, and cost trends.

Key Requirements

• Strong experience in petrochemical, base oil, bitumen, or industrial chemical procurement.
• Hands-on experience in international sourcing, preferably from Southeast Asia markets.
• Good understanding of:
• INCOTERMS
• Import documentation
• International trade and commodity trading practices
• Strong negotiation, vendor management, and commercial skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Commerce, Supply Chain, or related field.
• MBA or relevant specialization will be an added advantage.

Experience

• 4–12 years of experience in procurement and sourcing of:
• Base Oil / Bitumen / MTO
• Petrochemicals / Industrial Chemicals
• Prior experience with trading, import-export, or commodity sourcing companies will be highly preferred.
