Role Description

• Verify customer data and evaluate production feasibility for new and existing designs.
• Perform BOM verification, including identification of non-stock, obsolete, NRND components and proposing suitable alternatives.
• Execute PCB panelization optimized for production requirements.
• Prepare process cost calculations for manufacturing activities.
• Create and maintain parts in Epicor, including part library management.
• Develop process flow instructions and manufacturing drawings in Vayo software.
• Maintain documentation for custom-fabricated parts.
• Resolve engineering queries and finalize working Gerber files for production.
• Recommend alternate components to the Customer/Designer for non-stock, obsolete, or NRND parts.
• Manage and implement Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECO) activities.
• Finalize PCBA packaging processes to ensure product integrity and compliance.
• Coordinate with customers to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges arising during production and NPD activities.
• Prepare Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly (DFM/DFA) reports in Vayo DFM to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency.

Required Skills / Abilities

• Basic knowledge of PCB design principles and design rules
• Understanding of the function and operation of equipment used in EMS industries
• Strong knowledge of electronic component substitution
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency in ViewMate (Gerber Viewer)
• Experience with Valor Document Expert / Gerber tools
• Experience with Valor DFM Expert
• Working knowledge of Epicor ERP
• Ability to use eDrawings (3D file viewer)
