Senior Manager1- Payments
About the Team:
Flipkart payments team is a fast growing vertical within Flipkart and the Payments Business
team is responsible for ensuring secure and fast payment for Flipkart customers along with bringing the best value for
internal businesses for growth. About the Role – You will be responsible for partnering with gateways and acquirers
that offer the best in class services with high data security, success rates and tech capabilities that support one of our
core objectives to make Flipkart a safe & trusted destination for shopping.
What You’ll do: –
Business forecasting and tracking business performance against the annual plan. – Track key
payment metrics and analyze success rates – develop strategies to deliver as per aligned goals. – Acquire new
partner relationships to expand market coverage and drive profitable revenue growth. – Negotiate best conditions
(fee, service levels, tech capability) with relevant payments partners. – Work closely with aggregators & networks
(externally) as well as with category stakeholders (internally) for meaningful expansion of business. – Liaising with
Product, Ops, Customer experience, Accounting, Business finance and legal team for smooth and timely execution of
all programs and initiatives. – Understand regulations and compliance procedures in detail and execute the same in a
stipulated time frame. – Maintain data accurately and use data and insights to communicate effectively with leadership
& stakeholders. – Identify emerging trends and opportunities in the payments and fintech space that can bring
business value to the platform
. What You’ll need: –
4-5 years of experience in payments/fintech space with a deep understanding of the
payments landscape and its regulations. – MUST have strong business acumen and hunter mentality with the ability
to generate new business. – Results driven, energetic and individual placing emphasis on the company goals and
objectives. – Demonstrated ability to develop, lead, negotiate, and execute corporate and/or business transactions
effectively. – Strong interpersonal skills and ability to coordinate with multiple external & internal stakeholders. –
Proficient in MS Office. Advanced Excel will be an advantage. – Strong financial fluency & awareness of payments
ecosystem & banking space in India. – Comfortable in dealing with ambiguity and working in a constantly evolving
environment. – Excellent written/verbal communication skills. – Strong Analytical & Strategic thinking skills with a
result oriented approach. – Strong on Presentation, Negotiations and influencing skills. – Willingness to work on
weekends, and outside of the standard work day. – Possess a positive attitude to work as a team player and Flexible
with work timings. – Exposure to ecommerce industry is an added advantage. Mandatory Skills: Business
