Job Title: Assistant Accountant

Pay: 15,000 – 20,000

Duration: Full – time / Part – time, Permanent

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Eligibility Criteria:

• Completion of a college program or courses in accounting, bookkeeping or a related field.
• Previous experience in a clerical or accounting-related occupation is required.
• Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work with financial data.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Administer accounts payable and accounts receivable and maintain related financial records.
• Process, verify and record invoices, financial documents and accounting forms.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll and maintain payroll records.
• Examine and verify the accuracy of financial transactions and accounting entries.
• Prepare financial reports, summaries and supporting documentation.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies and assist in resolving accounting issues.
• Maintain organized accounting records and ensure compliance with established accounting procedures.
• Assist with coordinating accounting activities with other departments and provide administrative accounting support.

Required / Essential Skills:

• Basic knowledge of accounting principles
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., Excel, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Good attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently
