Head of People (CHRO) Full Time

Alps has been a trusted name in high-quality colourants for over four decades, selling to customers in 40+ countries across the Paper, Leather, Coatings, and Inks industries. We’re looking for a Head of People to join our leadership team at our corporate office in Vatva, Ahmedabad — this is a full-time, on-site role reporting to the CEO. 

If you join us, you’ll inherit a fully functional PMS, a well-structured organisation with policies already in place, a clear growth plan and a seat on the strategic leadership team — along with the freedom to generate and execute new ideas.

What we need is someone who can convert business goals into actionable people strategies, make sure the right people get on board, anticipate training needs, and get the best out of people without letting the company’s values and culture slip – this is the primary role. You’ll also need to manage the full spectrum of HR responsibilities: payroll, admin, labour law and factory act compliance, environmental regulations, ISO certifications — working alongside our existing HR team and external consultants.

You should have prior experience of 10-12 years from which 4 years should have been as a manager, a postgraduate degree in HR, background in manufacturing and strategic HR, and ideally some exposure to compliance in a manufacturing environment. We like people who stay current — whether that’s reading the latest in their field or picking up a good business book.
