Position: Senior Performance Test Engineer

Experience Required: 5+ Years Relevant Experience

Job Location: Nashik/Pune, India

Key Responsibilities

Performance Strategy & Planning

• Define and own the performance testing strategy for the product.
• Identify critical business transactions and user journeys for performance validation.
• Establish baseline, benchmark, and SLA-driven performance goals.

Test Design & Execution – On-premises/Cloud Environments

• Design and execute:
• Load testing / Stress testing
• Endurance / soak testing
• Spike testing / Scalability testing
• Build reusable and maintainable performance test scripts for:
• Web applications, APIs, Asynchronous systems

Monitoring & Analysis

• Correlate test results with application and Infrastructure metrics & Database performance

• Identify root causes of:
• Latency, throughput degradation, memory leaks, CPU contention
• Produce actionable performance analysis reports with optimization recommendations.

CI/CD & Performance Engineering

• Integrate performance tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Support shift-left and shift-right performance testing.
• Enable continuous performance monitoring in lower and production-like environments.

Collaboration & Leadership

• Work closely with:
• Architects on capacity planning
• Developers on code-level tuning
• DevOps on environment sizing
• Mentor junior performance testers.
• Act as the performance quality gate owner before releases.

Core Experience

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing of software products.
• Strong understanding of system architecture and scalability patterns.
• Experience working in Agile / DevOps environments.

Performance Tools (at Least One Strong, Others Working Knowledge)

• JMeter / LoadRunner / k6
• Experience with protocol-level testing (HTTP/HTTPS, REST)

Technical Knowledge

• Strong understanding of:
• Client–server architecture
• Microservices architecture
• Load balancers and caching
• API performance testing expertise.
• Database performance concepts (indexes, query execution, locks).

Monitoring & Observability

• Experience with: Grafana / Prometheus / Dynatrace / Azure Monitor (with Application Insights)
• Ability to correlate metrics across tiers.

Nice to Have

• Cloud performance testing experience (On-prem / Azure).
• Experience with production performance monitoring.
