Manager – Parts Planning, Procurement & Supply Chain

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Manager – Parts Planning, Procurement & Supply Chain to lead end-to-end parts management for our multibrand automotive aftermarket operations. The role involves strategic sourcing, supplier development, inventory planning, warehouse management, and parts cataloguing to ensure high parts availability, cost efficiency, and operational excellence.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Supplier Development

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard multibrand suppliers while maintaining the Approved Vendor List.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, credit terms, MOQs, and service agreements.
• Manage daily procurement activities to support production and sales requirements.
• Conduct supplier visits and quarterly performance reviews.
• Coordinate purchase orders, inbound logistics, and inventory receipts.

Parts Planning & Inventory Management

• Drive planning activities across the entire parts business.
• Forecast demand and establish reorder levels, safety stock, and inventory norms.
• Monitor stock availability, fill rates, stock-outs, and excess inventory.
• Manage inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities.
• Generate MIS reports and present actionable insights to management.

Warehouse & Logistics Management

• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations.
• Implement FIFO, 5S, and inventory control best practices.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics to optimize cost and delivery timelines.
• Ensure proper documentation, including GRNs, STOs, delivery notes, and RMA records.

Parts Cataloguing & Pricing

• Create and maintain parts master data in SAP/ERP.
• Manage pricing for all parts categories.
• Develop and maintain multibrand parts databases with OEM references, cross-references, fitment data, and supersession chains.
• Ensure data accuracy and consistency across all parts records.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering.
• MBA in Supply Chain Management preferred.
• 8–12 years of experience in automotive parts procurement, supply chain, or aftermarket operations.
• Strong proficiency in SAP MM/ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Excel and MIS reporting skills.
