AI Product Engineer — FuturePath AI
FuturePath is an Enterprise AI Apps Platform that turns complex human work into software. Our customers are Fortune 500 companies in pharma, banking, aviation, telecom, and healthcare. Our AI Applications take on recurring high-judgment work that today is done by large teams of people.
We’re looking for an AI Product Engineer to help build and ship our next generation of AI Applications. You’ll work on the core product surface our enterprise customers use every day. The work spans LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, retrieval, evals, and the application UI on top.
What You’ll Achieve
- Prototype and ship new AI Applications and capabilities into production
- Build and scale agentic workflows that run reliably in enterprise environments
- Improve the accuracy, reliability, and cost profile of our LLM-powered systems through evals, prompting, fine-tuning, and routing
- Work directly with Forward Deployed Engineers to turn real workflows into shipped product
- Collaborate across AI, Platform, and Product to deliver experiences that hold up at Fortune 500 scale
- Stay current on frontier model capabilities and bring useful ideas back into the product
Skills You’ll Need
- Expertise building AI products. You’ve shipped real LLM-powered features in production. You’re comfortable across the stack from UI to data model, know how to choose between prompting, RAG, fine-tuning, and tool use, and have worked with relational databases like Postgres. You can build from a blank file to a customer-ready product.
- Problem-solving. You start from a clear understanding of the context before you write code. You break ambiguous problems into clean solutions and weigh business impact against engineering cost. You think about what happens when the model is wrong, not just when it’s right.
- Empathetic communication and collaboration. You explain technical decisions clearly in writing and in real time. You disagree well, change your mind when the argument is better, and enjoy working with engineers, designers, and FDEs.
- Impact orientation. You prioritize by business impact. You understand the trade between craft, speed, and shipping. You care about what happens to the people whose work our software changes.
Nice to Haves
- 3+ years shipping production software, with a track record of owning features end to end
- Familiarity with our stack: Python, TypeScript, React, Postgres
- Experience with agent frameworks, eval harnesses, and observability for LLM systems
- Experience working in enterprise or regulated industries
- You’ve shipped against ambiguous, high-stakes deadlines at a startup before
- You read broadly outside of software, in history, design, science, or the arts
