Asst. Manager Accounts (AR) Full Time

The Associate Lead – Accounts Receivable (AR) will be responsible for managing the company’s receivables function, ensuring timely collections, maintaining healthy cash flows, and building strong relationships with customers and channel partners. The role requires expertise in credit control, collections, reconciliation, reporting, and process improvement within a fast-growing FMCG environment.

Key Responsibilities1. Accounts Receivable Management

• Manage end-to-end accounts receivable processes.
• Monitor customer outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments.
• Ensure timely invoicing and accurate recording of sales transactions.
• Maintain customer ledgers and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare and review customer account reconciliations.

2. Collections & Credit Control

• Drive collection efforts to achieve targeted Days Sales Outstanding (DSO).
• Coordinate with customers, distributors, modern trade partners, and e-commerce platforms for timely collections.
• Monitor credit limits and ensure adherence to company credit policies.
• Assess customer creditworthiness and recommend credit approvals or revisions.
• Escalate high-risk accounts and collection issues to management.

3. Reconciliation & Dispute Resolution

• Perform periodic reconciliation of customer accounts.
• Investigate and resolve billing disputes, deductions, short payments, and claims.
• Coordinate with sales, logistics, and customer service teams to close outstanding issues.
• Maintain proper documentation for all adjustments and settlements.

4. Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly receivables reports.
• Monitor aging analysis and identify overdue accounts.
• Track collection performance against targets.
• Provide insights on customer payment trends and collection risks.
• Support management with cash flow forecasts and receivables analysis.

5. Compliance & Controls

• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit-ready records.
• Support internal and external audits related to receivables.
• Strengthen internal controls around invoicing, collections, and customer account management.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

• Work closely with Sales, Key Accounts, Finance, Supply Chain, and Customer Service teams.
• Coordinate with distributors, retailers, modern trade chains, and e-commerce partners.
• Support leadership with financial insights related to receivables and collections.

Key RequirementsEducation

• Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (B.Com), Finance, or Accounting
• CA Inter / CMA preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, Credit Control, or Collections
• FMCG industry experience preferred

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable processes
• Experience in customer reconciliations and collections
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Proficiency in Tally, ERP systems, or SAP
• Understanding of GST and accounting principles
