We are seeking an experienced Electrical Safety Manager to lead and manage all electrical safety, compliance, fire safety, occupational health, and environmental safety initiatives across our hospital facilities and high-rise construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to statutory regulations, implement best safety practices, and foster a strong safety culture across the organization.
Responsibilities
A. Compliance & Legal Regulations
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, NABH, JCI, and other applicable safety standards.
• Maintain statutory documentation, permits, risk assessments, and compliance reports.
• Conduct internal safety audits and coordinate external regulatory inspections.
B. Safety Training & Awareness
• Develop and implement safety training programs for employees, contractors, and project teams.
• Organize emergency mock drills including fire, evacuation, and disaster management exercises.
• Conduct training on hazardous materials handling, infection control, and fire safety.
C. Risk Assessment & Incident Investigation
• Perform risk assessments to identify workplace hazards in hospitals and construction sites.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, and accidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain incident records and prepare detailed management reports.
D. Emergency Preparedness & Fire Safety
• Develop and implement emergency response plans for hospital and construction operations.
• Ensure proper installation, inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire protection systems.
• Coordinate with local fire authorities and emergency response agencies.
E. Occupational Health, Safety & Environment (OHSE)
• Monitor indoor air quality, biomedical waste disposal, hazardous waste management, and chemical storage.
• Ensure safe working practices related to scaffolding, excavation, work-at-height, and PPE compliance.
• Implement patient safety and infection control measures within healthcare environments.
F. Leadership & Coordination
• Lead and mentor Safety Officers and Safety Stewards.
• Collaborate with hospital management, project teams, consultants, and government authorities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through safety committee meetings and audits.
Qualifications
🏥 Industry: Multi-Specialty Hospitals & High-Rise Construction Projects
🎓 Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory)
🧠 Experience: 12+ Years (Hospitals, High-Rise Buildings, Commercial Complexes, IT Parks, Malls Preferred)
Preferred Certifications
✔ NEBOSH / IOSH / Diploma in Industrial Safety
✔ Fire & Safety Certifications
✔ Certified Safety Professional (Preferred)
