The Opportunity

ISMG is seeking a highly creative and strategic design leader to head our global Design Bureau, based within our APAC delivery center. This role will lead the delivery of high-quality creative services across the organization, overseeing design operations, team development, stakeholder partnerships, and brand consistency across all business units.

The ideal candidate combines strong people leadership, operational excellence, and hands-on design expertise, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

What You’ll Do

• Lead and scale ISMG’s APAC-based global Design Bureau, delivering creative services to stakeholders across multiple regions and business units.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of designers while fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with global creative leadership to maintain brand consistency, design quality, and best practices across all deliverables.
• Oversee the end-to-end design process, from intake and ideation through execution and delivery.
• Establish and optimize workflows, service levels, quality standards, and performance metrics to drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into impactful visual solutions.
• Contribute as a hands-on designer when needed, helping shape ISMG’s creative direction and design standards.
• Stay current on emerging design trends, technologies, and AI-powered creative tools to drive innovation and efficiency.
• Support strategic initiatives and other projects as assigned by senior leadership.

What You Bring to the Table

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Digital Media, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional design experience, including experience leading and developing creative teams.
• Proven success managing a creative services function, design team, or shared-services model supporting multiple stakeholders.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, digital marketing, event marketing, presentations, and business-focused creative design.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience building scalable processes, managing workflows, and driving performance through KPIs and quality standards.
• Strong understanding of brand governance, design systems, and creative best practices.
• Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud and modern design tools.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
• Familiarity with UX/UI design, motion graphics, video production, AI-powered design tools, and digital marketing creative is a plus.
• Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, WordPress, or CMS platforms is preferred.
