Job Description

The Senior Procurement Executive (Senior Buyer – IT Hardware/ Software) is responsible for contractual and innovative design to ensure a competitive offer and improvement of the execution margin within our value chain.

For the product groups assigned to him, he is involved in all decisions affecting the procurement of hardware, software and services.

As a Senior Procurement Executive (Senior Buyer), you will be responsible for …

• Active participation in the product group strategy
• Defining procurement and relationship plans with partners and suppliers
• Questioning technical project orientations
• Proactive networking with external stakeholders (Global Purchasing in other business units) to develop a supplier strategy within the Group organisation

Responsible for purchasing from external suppliers

• Ensuring supplier sourcing and selection, being involved from the early tendering stages of the project and integrating all specification aspects (cost, lead time, technology, quality, flexibility, logistics, T&Cs…).
• Assess risks and opportunities in the supply chain and transfer/mitigate them as early as possible through audits, supplier action plan, etc.
• Qualification of suppliers and evaluation of the performance of service and material purchases.
• Reporting of achievements and improvements

Expected Expertise

• Experience with the full spectrum of procurement (including advanced negotiations and contract management)
• Strong customer focus (responsiveness and adaptability) and sense of responsibility
• Ability to collaborate
• Good knowledge of common Microsoft tools (Windows, Excel, Power Point and MS Teams)
• Experience with SAP
