Automation Jr. Engineer I Full Time

The Automation Jr. Engineer I at Jabil, Inc. will assist in the design, development, and implementation of automated manufacturing systems and processes. This entry-level role supports senior engineers in optimizing production efficiency and quality through automation solutions.

Job Responsibilities:**

• Assist in the research, design, and development of new automation systems, including robotics, PLCs, and SCADA systems.
• Support the installation, testing, and commissioning of automation equipment and software.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing automation systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Document automation processes, procedures, and system configurations.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and solve technical issues.
• Participate in training and continuous learning to enhance automation skills and knowledge.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality standards in automation projects.

Job Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), HMI development, and industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with robotics, vision systems, and sensor technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus.
• Prior internship or project experience in automation is advantageous.
