This is a part-time remote position for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) focusing on AI Video Analytics, VMS, and Smart Surveillance having 15+ years of experience.

• The Chief Technology Officer will be the highest-ranking technology executive, responsible for defining and executing the overall technology vision, architecture, and product engineering strategy.
• The CTO will lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, architects, and data scientists to build and evolve Scanalitix’s AI-powered e-surveillance platform — ensuring it remains market-leading, scalable, secure, and field-deployable at enterprise scale.
• The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across Cloud Computing, Video Management Systems (VMS), Full Stack Development (Java / .NET), AI/ML, Computer Vision, Edge Computing, IoT, DevOps, and Enterprise-Level Architecture

Professional Experience

•       15+ years of progressive technology leadership experience, with at least 8 years in senior/CTO-equivalent roles.

•       Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise-grade platforms in AI, surveillance, IoT, or related domains.

•       Experience leading product engineering for VMS, video analytics, or physical security platforms is highly preferred.

•       Demonstrated success managing multi-site, cloud-native, or edge-deployed technology products at scale.

•       Experience working with government, BFSI, defence, or smart city technology deployments in India is a strong advantage.

•       Exposure to competing companies/platforms — i2V Systems, Milestone Systems, Mirasys, Zygal, AxxonSoft, Genetec — and deep understanding of the global VMS competitive landscape is preferred.

Leadership & Soft Skills

•       Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business outcomes.

•       Executive presence with demonstrated experience presenting to boards, investors, regulators, and enterprise clients.

•       Track record of building and retaining high-performance, diverse engineering teams in a fast-growth environment.

•       Comfort operating in an agile, entrepreneurial startup environment with a bias towards action and delivery.
