Product Consultant – Payment Processing Full Time

A Product Management Specialist with hands-on expertise in payment processing and acquiring, with deep working knowledge of scheme mandates, authorization, clearing, and settlement. Well-versed in the evolving payments landscape, this role is aware of next-generation payment trends and the growing diversity of payment rails and fund sources available to merchants and consumers. It required how on-us or off-us transaction dynamics affect platform economics and product design.

Highly self-directed and proactive, this role is equally capable of launching new payment products from scratch and optimizing existing ones to drive incremental value, consistently identifying gaps and opportunities without waiting to be told where to look.

NATURE OF WORK

• Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Maya’s Processing Platforms
• Lead the integration of CMS and Switch systems with Maya’s banking core systems.
• Manage the end-to-end development and launch of the bank’s transfers and payments products
• Identify and tackle broad problem sets with a focus on value, impact, and execution.
• Listen to our merchants, engineers, and partners to find unique problems to solve.
• Work closely with vendors, partners, and payment institutions to develop, improve and sustain assigned payment products
• Collaborate with Engineering and UX to build and improve payment solutions.
• Partner with the Data team to track the impact of market experiences.
• Lead project scoping and prioritization for improvements and advancements.
• Maintain clear product documentation and communication for effective tracking and alignment.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business management, Computer Science, IT, Industrial Engineering, or related field
• Experience: 6 to 8 years in product management or business analysis within payments, fintech, or banking, with direct exposure to processing platforms, scheme integrations, or acquiring products
• Non-Negotiable: Has worked on a payments switch, acquiring platform, or scheme integration. Can explain end-to-end transaction flow from tap to settlement without prompting. Direct familiarity with at least two of: wallet/tokenization, instant payments, scheme compliance, merchant acquiring.
