About the Role:
The Chrome Ore Trader will be responsible for driving sales and building strong commercial relationships across global markets. This role requires solid understanding of chrome ore (and related minerals), international commodity markets, pricing mechanisms, logistics, and contract negotiation. You will manage existing customers, develop new business, and play a key role in revenue growth on the selling side.
Key Responsibilities:
• For owned processed end-to-end sales trading of chrome ore across international markets specially to China
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with buyers, steelmakers, ferrochrome plants, and industrial clients.
• Monitor market trends, pricing, supply–demand dynamics, and competitor activity to optimise trading strategies.
• Structure and negotiate commercial contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and international trade regulations.
• Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to ensure smooth shipment planning, documentation, and delivery.
• Conduct market research and provide regular updates/reports on pricing, market intelligence, and risk assessment.
• Explore and expand into new markets and customer segments.
• Represent the company at trade shows, industry forums, and customer meetings.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Professional experience and proficiency in English is preferred over Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Trade, Metallurgy, Mining, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in chrome ore or mineral trading, ideally on the selling side.
• Strong understanding of the chrome ore supply chain, global demand centres, and price drivers.
• Established network within the ferroalloy, steel, or mining industries (preferred).
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office; familiarity with trade finance and INCOTERMS.
