Job Summary
Voylla is seeking an experienced Factory Manager to lead and oversee all manufacturing operations, ensuring smooth production flow, quality compliance, timely delivery, and optimum utilization of resources. The candidate should have hands-on experience in jewellery manufacturing processes, including filing, wax setting, casting, polishing, enameling, plating, stone setting, assembly, packing, and overall production management.
Key Responsibilities
Production Management
- Manage end-to-end factory operations and production activities.
- Plan, organize, and monitor daily production schedules to achieve targets.
- Ensure smooth workflow across all manufacturing departments.
- Coordinate with merchandising, planning, quality, and warehouse teams for timely order execution.
- Monitor production efficiency and implement process improvements.
Manufacturing Process Oversight
- Supervise and manage all jewellery manufacturing processes, including:
- Wax Setting
- Filing
- Casting
- Grinding & Finishing
- Stone Setting
- Enameling
- Polishing
- Plating
- Assembly
- Quality Inspection
- Packing & Dispatch
- Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) at every stage.
Quality Control
- Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer requirements.
- Minimize rejection, rework, and production losses.
- Conduct regular quality audits and corrective actions.
Team Management
- Lead and supervise production supervisors, line leaders, and factory workers.
- Manage workforce allocation and productivity.
- Conduct training programs to improve skills and efficiency.
- Maintain discipline and a positive work environment.
Inventory & Cost Control
- Monitor raw material consumption and production wastage.
- Coordinate with stores for material availability.
- Control manufacturing costs and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure proper inventory records and stock management.
Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with factory safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain housekeeping and workplace safety.
- Implement best practices for operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Production, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field.
- 6–7 years of experience in jewellery manufacturing or related manufacturing industries.
- Strong understanding of filing, wax setting, casting, enameling, polishing, plating, and other jewellery production processes.
- Experience in production planning, quality control, inventory management, and manpower handling.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and production reporting.
