About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fund Accountant with experience in Private Equity Fund Accounting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with EFront software, NAV calculations, fund reporting, and investor accounting. The role involves managing fund accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting fund operations for private equity investment vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Fund Accounting & NAV Reporting

• Prepare and review Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for Private Equity funds.
• Maintain accurate fund books and records in accordance with accounting standards and fund agreements.
• Process capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations.
• Calculate management fees, carried interest, and fund expenses.
• Perform fund-level and investor-level accounting activities.

Financial Reporting

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for funds.
• Assist in preparing investor reports, capital account statements, and performance reports.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and investors.
• Support audits and coordinate with external auditors.

Reconciliation & Controls

• Perform cash, bank, investment, and general ledger reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and breaks.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, fund documentation, and regulatory requirements.

EFront Administration & Operations

• Utilize EFront software for fund accounting, investor accounting, and reporting activities.
• Maintain and update fund data, investor records, and portfolio information within EFront.
• Generate reports and analytics from EFront to support fund operations and management.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• CA Inter, MBA Finance, CFA (Level I/II), or equivalent qualification preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience in Fund Accounting, Private Equity Accounting, or Alternative Investment Funds.
• Strong understanding of NAV calculation methodologies and fund accounting principles.
• Hands-on experience with EFront software is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Private Equity fund structures, capital calls, distributions, and carried interest calculations.
• Experience in financial reporting and reconciliations.
