Marketing Manager — Sherwani King (India)
About Sherwani King
Sherwani King is a bespoke South Asian menswear label, founded in 1975, with showrooms in the United Kingdom (Solihull) and Canada (Mississauga) and a virtual consultation service worldwide. We make sherwanis, tuxedos and suits that grooms wear to the most important day of their lives. 4.9★ rating, 290+ Google reviews, three industry awards.
We’re hiring a Marketing Manager for the India team to own the demand side of the business — every step from paid campaign to consultation booked to order placed.
This is an employee role — please read before applying
This is a full-time, salaried employment role. You’ll be a member of the Sherwani King team, reporting directly to the founder. We provide your tools, set your salary, and you commit your hours to us.
It is not a contract, retainer, freelance project, agency engagement, or vendor relationship — and we are not currently in the market for those. We’ve noticed that founders of creative agencies sometimes apply to roles like this as a way to introduce their agency for client work. We’re flagging it directly: if that’s the case for you, this is the wrong fit, and we’d ask you to pass on this listing.
If you currently run your own marketing studio or agency on the side and you’re genuinely seeking an employee role at Sherwani King (not pitching agency services), please say so explicitly in your application note.
The seat
We don’t currently have a dedicated person owning the demand flow end-to-end. That’s the seat. You’ll sit alongside our India Head of Fashion Sourcing as the two India-based pillars of the function — she owns inbound (products in), you own outbound (demand out). Together you drive the operating cadence: new product launches need marketing wrappers, marketing campaigns need product availability.
How this role actually works
Every customer journey starts on a paid channel — Google, Meta, TikTok — and lands on the Style Direction Form, our new interactive funnel where the bride and groom input wedding details and get personalised style options before being routed into a consultation booking. Your job is to drive qualified traffic to that form, optimise the funnel for completion, and grow the volume of consultations booked at our Solihull and Mississauga showrooms (and our virtual service).
You’ll run the campaigns end-to-end — strategy, creative production, launch, optimisation, attribution, reporting. You’ll work with controlled ad budgets, not blank cheques: every pound or rupee spent needs to map to a consultation booked and ultimately an order placed. You’ll use AI tools (OpenArt, Claude prompt libraries we’ll build together, Midjourney, Runway, ChatGPT) to produce ad creative at variant volume — this is a “10-second ad against demographic cohorts” game, not a hero film production game.
You’ll also own organic socials in tandem with paid — Athira at our UK showroom and Tanu at our Canada showroom will feed you raw footage from fittings, customer moments and new arrivals. You convert it into Reels, posts, ads. Brand discipline against our brand guide is non-negotiable.
What you’ll own
Paid media
Funnel ownership
Organic content
Brand operations
Analytics and reporting
Email marketing (Phase B)
What you won’t do
This role is about driving and converting demand. You won’t be:
If you’re hoping for a brand strategist seat, a creative director seat, or a fashion stylist seat, this isn’t that role. This is a hands-on growth marketing seat with a clear demand-side mandate.
How performance is measured
Your compensation has a base of ₹50,000/month plus bonus tied to:
This is a growth-leveraged comp structure: the better the funnel performs, the more you earn.
Career path
The path from Marketing Manager to Marketing Director sits naturally within 2-3 years of strong performance — owning the function, eventually hiring under you, stepping into a senior strategy seat. Honest framing: we’re not promising Marketing Director in 12 months. We’re saying the role is structured so a high performer can grow into it on a real timeline.

Open to candidates from these backgrounds
Marketing Manager, Growth Marketing Manager, Performance Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, Brand Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Executive, Paid Media Specialist with marketing-management aspirations.
If you’ve been running paid campaigns + content + funnel work for a brand or agency and want a single ambitious brand to call home — this is that role.
Working setup
Fully remote, India-based. Standard working hours should overlap with UK afternoon and India evening, with occasional flex for Canada team coordination. We provide AI tool subscriptions, ad platform access, analytics tools and any software you need. This is a full-time, long-term position, not contract-to-hire.
