• Job Purpose: To lead and manage sales operations for aluminium upstream products across Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, driving market share growth, revenue achievement, and customer satisfaction within the territory. Responsible for executing business strategies through deep customer engagement, market intelligence, and optimizing the product mix to maximize profitability.

The role requires close collaboration with production and logistics teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment and timely delivery. Accountable for fostering strong customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and supporting commercial excellence initiatives to sustain competitive advantage.

Additionally, champions safety compliance and operational discipline, while actively participating in training and development programs to enhance leadership capabilities and contribute to overall organizational goals.

Safety

• Attend Behavior-Based Safety Observation (BBSO) workshops to enhance personal awareness and understanding of safe work practices.
• Demonstrate and maintain good safety discipline in the office, during customer visits, and on-site at company plants and depots.
• Follow personal safety practices such as always wearing a seat belt or helmet while driving and encourage colleagues to do the same.
• Identify and report safety hazards encountered in daily operations to the concerned authorities and ensure timely corrective actions are taken.
• Participate in at least one plant safety audit during the year to support continuous improvement in workplace safety standards.

Sustainability

• Monitor and analyze market trends by tracking secondary ingot, and primary ingot prices to identify opportunities for sustainable sourcing and cost optimization.
• Ensure alignment of recycled ingot chemical composition with specific customer requirements to deliver high-quality, performance-compatible products.
• Identify and engage potential customers for secondary aluminium alloys (e.g., LM06, ADC12), particularly in foundry, die-casting, and automotive/industrial manufacturing sectors.
• Promote adoption of secondary aluminium products by sharing detailed specifications, technical benefits, and sustainability advantages with customers.
• Collaborate with technical and production teams to maintain consistency in product quality and support customer trial orders for secondary alloy applications.
• Contribute to overall sustainability goals by encouraging the use of recycled materials, reducing environmental impact, and supporting circular economy initiatives.

Cash: Sales & Cash Flow

• Maintain strong customer relationships by engaging regularly with existing and new customers to secure consistent demand and repeat business.
• Develop and sustain a healthy sales pipeline through active market intelligence, customer visits, and opportunity tracking.
• Collaborate closely with supply chain, production, and pricing teams to align product availability with customer demand and ensure timely deliveries.
• Monitor sales performance against monthly and quarterly targets and take prompt corrective actions in case of deviations.
• Ensure timely collection of payments by proactively following up with customers and maintaining clear communication on payment schedules – LC, BG & CF.
• Work with finance teams to resolve outstanding issues, minimize overdue receivables, and improve overall cash flow health.
• Identify and manage high-risk accounts early to prevent potential bad debts or disruptions in cash flow.
• Support cash flow forecasting by providing accurate sales and collection data to management for planning and decision-making.
• Maintain accurate and updated records of orders, deliveries, and customer feedback to support continuous business improvement.

Cost

• Optimize production scheduling and resource utilization to minimize idle time and reduce overall manufacturing costs.
• Ensure timely and cost-efficient order fulfillment by maintaining strong coordination between sales, operations, and production teams.
• Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and maintain it within the target of 10 days through proactive follow-ups and timely collection of payments.
• Provide regular updates and analysis on cost trends, savings achieved, and areas for improvement to management for effective review and planning.
• Assess demand and supply situations and adjust pricing structures in line with market dynamics to ensure seamless operations and competitive positioning.

Customer Centricity

• Drive commercialization of new aluminium grades such as T4 and AL59, ensuring successful trials, customer approvals, and smooth market introduction.
• Manage and strengthen business relationships for Primary Foundry Alloys (PFA) — particularly ALSi7Mg and LM-25 — with key accounts while exploring opportunities for new customers to expand market share.
• Maintain at least 70% customer engagement time through regular visits, virtual meetings, and continuous communication to understand customer needs and expectations.
• Gather and share market intelligence on customer requirements, competitor activities, and industry trends to support product and strategy alignment.
• Collaborate with technical and production teams to ensure product quality, timely delivery, and prompt resolution of customer issues.
• Contribute to improving the Net Promoter Score (NPS) by providing superior customer experiences, ensuring responsiveness, and delivering value-added solutions.
• Build long-term partnerships by demonstrating reliability, technical expertise, and customer-focused problem-solving in all interactions.
