Internship Details

Role: User Interface (UI) Designer Intern

Duration: 6 Months

Work Mode: Hybrid (Work From Home + On-Site)

Location: Singarayakonda, Andhra Pradesh

Internship Type: Full-Time

Stipend: Unpaid Internship

Certificate: Internship Completion Certificate will be provided upon successful completion of the internship.

Future Opportunity: Candidates who perform exceptionally well during the internship may be considered for a full-time role at MecSpot. Compensation (CTC) and employment terms will be discussed directly with selected candidates after the completion of the internship period.

Role Description

As a User Interface (UI) Designer Intern, you will work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to design intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly interfaces for MecSpot’s web and mobile applications.

You will be involved in the complete design process, from understanding user requirements and creating wireframes to designing high-fidelity interfaces and collaborating with developers during implementation. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in designing real-world products used by mechanics, suppliers, and customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design clean, modern, and user-friendly interfaces for web and mobile applications.
• Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and reusable UI components.
• Ensure visual consistency across all MecSpot products and platforms.
• Translate business requirements and user needs into effective design solutions.
• Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
• Participate in design reviews and incorporate feedback to improve designs.
• Work closely with front-end developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Continuously improve user experiences through research, testing, and iteration.
• Stay updated with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of User Interface Design and Visual Design principles.
• Ability to create clean, consistent, accessible, and responsive interfaces.
• Experience creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design assets.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of User Experience (UX) principles, user flows, and usability best practices.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and front-end concepts is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a hybrid work environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Portfolio showcasing UI/UX design projects for web or mobile applications.
• Experience working on marketplace, e-commerce, logistics, or B2B products is an advantage.
• Understanding of design systems and component-based design methodologies.
• Passion for creating intuitive and impactful user experiences.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
• Equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
