Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Finance Operations Manager to lead and manage the organization’s finance operations, compliance framework, financial reporting, and governance processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, driving regulatory compliance, optimizing cash flow and working capital, and implementing strong internal controls to support business growth and operational efficiency.
This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, SEZ regulations, audit management, financial planning, and process automation, along with the ability to lead teams and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The Finance Operations Manager will oversee the end-to-end financial operations of the organization, ensuring timely closure and finalization of accounts, preparation of financial statements including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards and statutory requirements.
The incumbent will be responsible for managing statutory audits, internal audits, tax audits, and SEZ compliance audits while ensuring timely closure of audit observations and implementation of corrective actions. The role involves ensuring adherence to GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act provisions, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
The position will play a critical role in strengthening financial controls and governance by implementing robust accounting processes, monitoring reconciliations, managing fixed assets, validating payroll-related financial controls, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
The candidate will also be responsible for monitoring cash flow, treasury activities, receivables, payables, and working capital management to ensure optimum liquidity and efficient utilization of financial resources. Regular cash flow forecasting and financial planning will be an essential part of the role.
A key expectation from this position is to drive process improvements, ERP optimization, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce manual interventions, and improve reporting accuracy. The role will involve identifying opportunities for digital transformation within finance processes and implementing best practices.
Additionally, the Finance Operations Manager will lead and mentor the finance team, establish performance standards, and provide timely MIS reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to management for informed decision-making. The individual will work closely with business leaders, auditors, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders to support organizational objectives.
Key Skills & Competencies
The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in financial accounting, statutory compliance, taxation, audit management, and SEZ regulations. A deep understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax provisions, internal controls, reconciliations, financial governance, and reporting frameworks is essential.
The candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, strong business acumen, and the capability to provide financial insights that support strategic decision-making. Effective stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and team development skills are critical for success in this role.
Experience in ERP systems, finance automation initiatives, and process optimization will be highly advantageous. The ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring accuracy and compliance in a dynamic business environment is essential.
Qualifications & Experience
The candidate should possess a Chartered Accountant (CA), CMA, MBA (Finance), CA Inter, or M.Com qualification with a minimum of 7–8 years of relevant experience in finance and accounting functions. Candidates should have at least 5–6 years of progressive experience in finance operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial or team leadership role.
