About the Team
The Claims team at Navi is responsible for delivering a fast, transparent, and customer-first claims experience. From initial intimation to final settlement-whether cashless or reimbursement-they manage the end-to-end process with a strong focus on accuracy and turnaround time. The team works closely with the Hospital Partnerships team to streamline coordination and uses data-driven insights and process automation to improve claim resolution speed and customer satisfaction.
About the Role
The Associate II Medical Encoder will support the claims operations team by assisting in claim registration, hospital bill tabulation, and documentation activities. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to review medical documents, and adherence to operational timelines. The individual will work closely with the claims adjudication team to ensure accurate data capture and proper documentation of claims while maintaining defined turnaround times.
Key Responsibilities
- Review claim documents received from hospitals and assist in claim registration and data entry in the claims system.
- Perform tabulation of hospital bills for cashless and reimbursement claims under supervision.
- Ensure accurate capture of billing details, treatment information, and claim documentation.
- Maintain claim records and registers to support claims processing and reconciliation.
- Respond to basic internal queries related to claim registration, documentation, or tabulation.
- Ensure adherence to defined operational TATs for claim registration and bill tabulation.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth claim documentation and workflow management.
Must Haves
- Good attention to detail while reviewing medical documents and hospital bills.
- Basic understanding of hospital billing components and medical documentation.
- Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets and basic documentation tools.
- Ability to work in a process-driven and fast-paced operations environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills for internal coordination.
