About The Role

We are currently seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis at a vibrant entertainment company located in Santa Monica, CA. This contract-to-hire role offers an exciting opportunity to work within the film and television industry, supporting a dedicated HR team in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining HR operations, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of recent experience working in a corporate human resources environment. A college degree is preferred but not mandatory, provided the candidate demonstrates relevant experience and skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team setting, demonstrating a personable and proactive approach. Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively is essential. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are required to succeed in this role.

Responsibilities

• Updating and maintaining accurate personnel files to ensure data integrity and compliance with company policies.
• Providing assistance with recruiting activities, including sourcing candidates, posting job openings, and managing applicant tracking systems.
• Supporting onboarding and off-boarding processes to facilitate smooth transitions for new hires and departing employees.
• Assisting with benefits administration, answering employee inquiries, and coordinating enrollment processes.
• Conducting new hire orientation sessions to familiarize new employees with company policies, culture, and expectations.
• Performing various administrative tasks to support HR functions and internal departments as needed.
• Participating in special projects and initiatives aimed at improving HR processes and employee engagement.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all HR documentation and processes.
• Ability to multitask effectively and prioritize workload efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Experience

Candidates should have between 2 to 4 years of recent experience working in a human resources role within a corporate setting. Prior experience supporting HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, benefits, and employee relations is highly desirable. Familiarity with HRIS systems and applicant tracking tools will be considered an asset.

Work Hours

The standard work schedule is from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. Flexibility to accommodate organizational needs or occasional overtime may be required.
