Responsibilities

Job Scope: The role focuses on managing and overseeing tax-related activities within the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. The incumbent will support tax planning initiatives, collaborate with internal and external tax teams, and ensure timely completion of tax audits and returns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support in Tax Planning Initiatives: Assist in the development and implementation of strategies for both direct and indirect tax planning to optimize the company’s tax position and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Collaboration with Tax Teams: Actively interact with the India Tax Team and external advisors to seek clarifications on taxation-related matters. Stay informed about the latest developments and changes in tax laws to ensure the company’s practices align with current regulations.
• Tax Audits and Returns: Oversee the completion of tax audits and the filing of tax returns, ensuring that all processes are executed accurately and within required deadlines to avoid penalties.
• Accounting and Reconciliation: Conduct thorough monthly accounting and reconciliation of all tax accounts, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
• Timely Filing of Tax Returns: Ensure that all Direct and Indirect Tax returns are filed promptly to maintain compliance and mitigate risks associated with late submissions.
• Monthly Tax Computation: Manage the computation of monthly tax obligations and ensure timely payment of all taxes owed, thereby maintaining the company’s good standing with tax authorities.
• Contract Review: Review customer and vendor contracts from a tax perspective to identify potential tax implications and ensure that agreements are structured favorably for the company.
• Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance processes and systems within the accounts department to promote smooth, effective, and efficient operations, aiming for increased productivity and reduced errors.
• Initiatives Monitoring: Lead and monitor various initiatives related to quality improvement, measurement, and automation, ensuring that best practices are adopted within the department.
• Cross-Functional Participation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams as necessary to support broader company objectives and ensure alignment of financial practices across departments.
• Audit Assistance: Provide support during statutory audits, group audits, and internal audits, ensuring that all necessary documentation is prepared and available for review.
• Day-to-Day Accounting Activities: Manage daily accounting functions, ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with accounting policies.
• Month-End/Year-End Activities: Ensure that proper month-end and year-end closing activities are conducted in accordance with established accounting governance, facilitating accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Requirements

Experience:

CA with 6-7 years of experience in the relevant work

Qualification:

CA /MBA (Finance)
