As a member of an international development team, you will be working on software development for Automation in a system integration environment for Marine, Offshore and Process Industry Domains. The Automation Solutions are part of our integral Siemens Energy (SE)- Electrification, Automation and Digital portfolio, which require Know-How and background in the above domains. Your task would include developing the SE industrial Process and Module Control Suite basis and application software framework (EAD Business) based on the TIA or PCS7 or PCS Neo family, as well as designing HMI process screens for SCADA system like IA Ignition. Use Figma Tool for interface Design. Understanding of Industry Standards -Library IEC63131, Safety IEC61508/511, cyber security IEC62443, electrical IED’s IEC 61850.

You would work within an agile / Scrum process environment to ensure progress is made, problems are addressed, and the project is successfully completed. Effective communication with the international team is a crucial aspect of your role, and your goal is to contribute to the development of high-quality software that meets the needs of the SE industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong Domain know-how in the Oil & Gas, Pulp & Paper and Marine Industry.
• Strong Application software development in the areas of Automation, Electrification in R&D Development of Siemens Energy
• Strong development experience of Library for PCS 7/TIA Portal / PCS Neo for EAD business and application functions in Marine, Oil and Gas, Paper Industry Domains using SCL
• Strong SCL (Structured Control Language) knowledge for Library development, working in the environment and versioning of the same
• Strong experience in specific energy sector domains like grid protection, substation automation, power systems analysis, or turbine technology. Industrial Automation areas covering
• Expertise in operational technology (OT) environments like SCADA, DCS, PLCs, and HMI systems.
• Knowledge on Cyber security and IT/OT areas using standard IEC 62443
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time
• Expertise in industrial automation, Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Process Control Systems (PCS), Power Management Systems (PMS), and related platforms like SISHIP EcoMAIN and Omnivise.
• Understanding of marine industry standards, regulations (e.g., related to emissions and safety), vessel types (commercial, naval), and applications such as compression for oil & gas.
• Proficiency with industrial automation systems, including PLCs, SCADA, and specific Siemens systems like PCS7, PCS NEO, TIA Portal, SIMIT, COMOS, and Omnivise T3000.
• Knowledge of new energy solutions for decarbonization, such as fuel cells, methanol reforming systems, vessel electrification, and energy storage.
• Subject matter expert and having technical knowledge of the specific process in Pulp and paper manufacturing, Offshore Oil and Gas, and Marine
• In-depth knowledge of electrical equipment, power generation, transmission, and drive systems, including MV and LV switchgear engineering, motors, and generators.
• Strong Analytical and Problem-solving skills

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Master’s/bachelor’s degree in electronic engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Having 6-15 years of experience in automation and control systems in Marine, Oil&Gas, Paper
• Expertise in DCS, Drives and PMS (power management systems),
• Extensive knowledge of SCL/CFC/SCL
• Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
• Experience working in international development teams.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Working knowledge in libraries of SOGO, SIPAPER, SISHIP etc
• Experience in Leading team of minimum 6-10 in the Application software development
