In line with our continuous growth strategy, Mainfreight has recently established its Indian operation via first branch opening in Mumbai earlier this year. To support our business expansion, we are currently seeking a qualified professionals for the position of Assistant Manager/ Senior Operations Executive in Chennai Branch.
Office Location: Guindy, Chennai
Key responsibilities:
*Co-ordinate and liaise with customers to ensure smooth handling of operations.
*Co-ordinate with Suppliers and Customers on shipping schedules.
*Update and maintain shipping schedule on Cargowise.
*Liaise with Shipping Line/Airline/Overseas offices for freight quote & booking.
*Ensure customer shipping requirements are fulfilled in an effective and efficient manner.
*Timely billing to customer with profit/loss analysis
*Any other ad-hoc projects as and when necessary
What we are looking for:
*Someone who has good knowledge of freight forwarding business for Ocean Freight Exports.
*Candidate must possess a Graduate Degree in any field.
*Knowledge of Cargowise system will be added advantage / if not the candidate should be adaptable or have solid work experience of working other related platforms.
*Desired experience – Asst Manager around 8-10 years / Sr Ops Executive 4-6 years.
*Required Language(s): English and local languages
*Someone who is consistently looking to improve processes and find better solutions to support our clients.
*Attention to detail with the ability to assess priorities
*Team Player with initiative and good human relations skills
*Customer oriented, good follow up, able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
