KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Sales & Business Development
• Lead end-to-end business development across Indian airports – greenfield, brownfield, and managed services.
• Identify, qualify, and pursue opportunities across airport infrastructure, ICT, MSI, cybersecurity, ORAT, and digital transformation.
• Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline; manage proposals, tenders, and RFP responses in coordination with technical teams.
• Establish and nurture relationships with AAI, MoCA, private airport operators, EPC contractors, and concessionaires.
• Negotiate commercial terms, teaming agreements, and consortium structures with JV and subcontractor partners.
2. Strategic Market Positioning
• Develop ICAD India’s market entry and growth strategy aligned with Group priorities.
• Map and track upcoming airport projects, concession renewals, and government-funded programmes (UDAN, RCS, AAI Capital Plan).
• Position ICAD competitively for framework agreements, PMC mandates, and systems integration contracts.
• Engage with FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM aviation committees and represent ICAD at key industry forums.
3. Client & Stakeholder Management
• Serve as primary relationship owner for key Indian aviation clients and authorities.
• Develop account management plans for Tier 1 clients: Adani Airports, GMR, MIAL, AAI, DIAL, BIAL, HIAL.
• Engage with international partners (OEMs, technology vendors, financiers) to build credible consortia for Indian tenders.
• Represent ICAD in client presentations, pre-bid meetings, technical discussions, and commercial negotiations.
4. P&L and Operational Leadership
• Own the India P&L; set and deliver revenue, margin, and order intake targets.
• Build, manage, and mentor the India business team across sales, technical, and delivery functions.
• Coordinate with Group operations in GCC, Africa, and UK for resource sharing, cross-selling, and delivery support.
• Ensure compliance with Indian regulatory frameworks, company policies, and Group governance standards.
5. Proposition & Bid Management
• Lead the preparation of winning proposals integrating technical, financial, and commercial elements.
• Drive pre-qualification submissions, EOIs, and RFP responses with the support of subject matter experts.
• Champion ICAD’s blended finance model (ECI-F, EXIM, UKEF) as a differentiator for large infrastructure deals.
• Coordinate with Group BD teams for Africa and GCC on cross-regional client synergies.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Essential
• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in the Indian aviation sector in commercial, business development, or senior operations roles.
• Demonstrated track record of winning and delivering airport infrastructure, ICT, or MSI contracts in India.
• Strong existing relationships with AAI, MoCA, Adani Airports, GMR, MIAL, BIAL, HIAL, or equivalent airport operators.
• Experience in leading bids and managing client relationships for projects valued INR 50 Cr and above.
• Deep understanding of India’s airport regulatory environment, UDAN/RCS scheme, and AAI capital expenditure planning.
• Proven ability to build and lead high-performing commercial and technical teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Aviation Management, or a related technical discipline.
Highly Desirable
• MBA or postgraduate qualification in Business Administration, Infrastructure Finance, or Aviation Management.
• Familiarity with Master Systems Integration (MSI), ORAT, CNS/ATM, or airport cybersecurity domains.
• Exposure to GCC, African, or Southeast Asian airport markets as an advantage.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project/programme management certification.
