Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Typist role based in Vadodara for Gujarati & English Language. The Typist will prepare and format legal documents, petitions, affidavits, and correspondence from handwritten notes, drafts, and dictated material. Daily responsibilities include accurate typing of case-related documents, audio typing from legal dictation, and updating or maintaining digital and physical records. The role also involves basic clerical support such as organizing files, labeling and tracking case documents, and coordinating with legal staff to ensure timely completion of paperwork. The Typist is expected to maintain confidentiality, follow firm formats and guidelines, and communicate clearly with advocates and other team members regarding document status and requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong typing abilities, including accurate Typing and Audio Typing skills with consistent speed and attention to detail.
• Good Clerical Skills for organizing files, managing paperwork, and maintaining orderly documentation.
• Effective Communication skills to coordinate with advocates, support staff, and, when needed, clients regarding documents and timelines.
• Basic to intermediate Computer Literacy, including proficiency in word processing software, email, and file management.
• Prior experience in a law office or legal documentation environment is an advantage.
• Ability to work on-site full time in Vadodara and manage multiple tasks with deadlines.
• Good command of written language (and local language proficiency, if applicable) for accurate legal document preparation.
