Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Mundra for a WWT, ETP & RO Operator & Supervisor. The role involves operating and monitoring wastewater treatment (WWT), effluent treatment plant (ETP), and reverse osmosis (RO) systems to ensure compliant and efficient plant performance. Daily responsibilities include starting, stopping, and adjusting equipment; recording operational parameters; sampling and testing water quality; and maintaining accurate logbooks and reports. The position requires routine inspection of pumps, valves, filters, membranes, and chemical dosing systems, as well as coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities with the engineering team. The supervisor aspect includes overseeing operators on shift, enforcing safety and environmental standards, supporting audits and inspections, and coordinating with production and utilities teams to meet plant water quality and availability targets.
Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of WWT, ETP, and RO plant processes, including operation of pumps, blowers, filters, dosing systems, and membrane-based treatment units.
• Ability to interpret process parameters and lab results (pH, TDS, COD, BOD, turbidity, hardness) and adjust plant operations accordingly.
• Experience maintaining log sheets, shift reports, and basic documentation required for environmental compliance and audits.
• Familiarity with industrial safety practices, lockout–tagout procedures, and safe handling and storage of treatment chemicals.
• Hands-on skills in basic troubleshooting of mechanical and instrumentation issues in water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Previous experience supervising or coordinating shift teams in utilities, water treatment, or similar industrial operations is preferred.
• Diploma or ITI in Chemical, Mechanical, Environmental, or related engineering/technical discipline; relevant certifications in WTP/ETP/RO operations are an advantage.
• Ability to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required by plant operations.
• Effective communication and record-keeping skills, with the ability to follow standard operating procedures and environmental regulations.
• Experience in power, chemical, or solar manufacturing utilities will be considered an added benefit.
